Every year in November, we convene the general assembly of our friends’ association, “Freunde des IME e.V.”, together with our annual alumni gathering. This year’s event was particularly special, as the association also celebrated its 25th anniversary. We were pleased to welcome more than 120 participants on this occasion.

During the event, we had the honor of presenting our annual association awards for four outstanding Bachelor’s and Mini Theses. Our sincere congratulations go to Varshini Jayaramaiah, Yegyeong Oh, and Mengqi Qu, each of whom received a €400 prize. In addition, the Aurubis Prize for an exceptional Master’s thesis was awarded to Florian Wegmann by Dr. Andreas Specht.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all members for their continued support and commitment. We look forward to another year of progress and innovation at IME.

The friends’ association plays a vital role in advancing the IME’s mission in teaching and research by providing essential funding for excursions, laboratory equipment, and student workspaces.
